I know what it’s like to be uprooted by pain.

Chronic pain can unravel your sense of self. It can take your confidence, your trust in your body and the life you thought you were living.

I’ve been there.

And I also know this to be true:  Being uprooted by pain doesn’t mean you’re broken - and it doesn’t mean your life is over.

This page is about how I found my way back to myself - and how I now support others to do the same.

MY STORY

From being benched by pain… to rebuilding a life again

For years, chronic pain and exhaustion shaped my world.

My life became smaller, my body felt unpredictable, my confidence slowly eroded as I tried to push through, keep up and stay “positive”.

Like many people living with chronic pain, I was told (directly and indirectly) that once the pain was gone, then I could live again.

But that moment never came.

What changed everything wasn’t the pain disappearing - it was changing how I related to my body and myself.

Through formal training, years immersed in pain science and my own lived experience, I learned something that no one had explained to me before:

Chronic pain isn’t just about injured tissues - it’s about how the brain and nervous system adapt when pain has been present for a long time.

And crucially - there is good news here.

Your system can learn safety again, your capacity can expand and your life can regrow again - even if pain is still part of the picture.

This is the work I now offer my clients - because no one should have to rebuild alone.

MY APPROACH

Science meets compassion

As an ICF-trained coach specialising in chronic pain, my work blends:

  • Pain science & neuroscience
(understanding how chronic pain patterns form and how safety helps shift them)
  • Nervous system & somatic tools
(to help your body feel calmer, steadier and less reactive)
  • Mindset and inner-voice work
(reducing fear, self-blame and the constant mental load that shrinks life around pain)
  • Lived experience - I’ve rebuilt my own life after being uprooted by chronic pain - and I bring that understanding into every session.

This isn’t about convincing you pain “isn’t real” and it’s not about positive thinking or fixing yourself.

It’s about working with your whole system - body, brain, emotions and identity - so you can move through life with more steadiness, agency, and trust in yourself.

WHY THIS WORK MATTERS

Chronic pain changes more than the body

Chronic pain doesn’t just hurt - it reshapes how you live.

Over time, it can:

  • make your body feel unsafe
  • pull your attention inward toward symptoms
  • erode trust in yourself
  • quietly shrink your world

This doesn’t happen because you’re broken. It happens because your nervous system is doing its best to protect you after feeling threatened for so long.

When we support internal safety and reduce fear, something powerful shifts:

  • your system settles
  • your capacity increases
  • your relationship with your body softens
  • life begins to feel possible again

This work isn’t about bypassing grief or forcing positivity. It’s about meeting pain with honesty, compassion and evidence-based tools that support real, sustainable change.

I believe:

  • Joy and sorrow can coexist
  • You don’t need to be “fixed” before you’re allowed to live
  • Your body isn’t the enemy - it’s communicating
  • Trust in your body is possible, even with ongoing symptoms
  • You have more influence over how you feel than you’ve been led to believe

And most importantly: With the right support, you can regrow a life that is bigger than your pain.

Your next chapter starts here

You may not have chosen chronic pain - but you can choose how you are supported through it.

If you’re ready to feel safer in your body, steadier in your life, and more connected to who you are becoming, I’d love to walk alongside you.
